Bill Nye the Science Guy comes to Edmonton
We should encourage scientists to become celebrities. Maybe then people will listen to them.
Bill Nye is way ahead of the game. He’s already a household name in some households, inventor, TV host, comedian, educator, best-selling author, and above all, a SCIENTIST! Mechanical engineer, to be exact. He’s literally a rocket scientist.
Now’s your chance to see him live. Bill Nye the Science Guy comes to the Jubilee Auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 16 for an “evening of science, education, discovery and an audience Q&A.”
The multiple Emmy-winner has written eight science books for children, including Bill Nye The Science Guy’s Great Big Book of Tiny Germs, and some for grown-ups, too. His latest from 2017 is Everything All At Once: How to Unleash Your Inner Nerd, Tap into Radical Curiosity and Solve Any Problem. He also has a Netflix series called Bill Nye Saves the World. His stated mission is “to help foster a scientifically literate society and to help people everywhere understand and appreciate the science that makes our world work.”
Tickets are $59 (VIP meet & greets also available), and go on sale Friday.
