The Pixies bring Doolittle to life: May 1 at the Shaw Conference Centre
You can’t expect the Pixies to mount the same old kind of tour that every other aging reunited rock band does. The Eagles, they are not.
The Pixies embodied the term “alternative” long before that sort of thing was cool – and alternative is exactly what fans are going to get at the Doolittle Tour, coming to the Shaw Conference Centre Sunday, May 1. Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago and David Lovering will perform their 1989 record Doolittle in its entirety, along with related B-sides. Accompanying the music will be a series of original new films and special effects to rival a mini Pink Floyd concert.
Tickets to this general admission show are$55 and go on sale Jan. 28 at Ticketmaster.
