Matthew Good comes to Jubilee Auditorium Nov. 15
Whether you love to hate him or hate to love him, Matthew Good is at least one of the more interesting characters on the Canadian music scene.
And now for something completely different: Matthew Good in a soft-seater. The deep-thinking Vancouver rocker has announced a string of theatre dates across Canada that brings him to the Jubilee Auditorium on Tuesday, November 15. Tickets are $42 or $35 and go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster. Fans can also go to his website to buy a VIP ticket package. Quantities are limited.
Good is touring behind his latest album, Lights of Endangered Species, the mere title of which suggests he hasn’t abandoned his political agendas. Here’s a lyric from the latest single, In a Place of Lesser Men: “Hear some fool say the world is going to end, best spend the night under your bed.”
Make of that what you will. It remains to be seen if the fans expected to sell out this show will actually be using the soft seats they paid for – or be standing the entire time as the Jube turns into a rock ‘n’ roll hall. It happens, from time to time.
