Bob Seger Edmonton concert postponed until ‘spring’
So close and yet so snowy – Bob Seger’s historic first headlining appearance in Edmonton has been postponed “due to extreme weather conditions and road closures,” it was announced just hours before the legendary Detroit rocker was due to take the stage at Rexall Place on Thursday night.
The press release reads, “Bob Seger is concerned about the safety and well-being of his fans that will be traveling for this show, and has agreed to make up this performance in the spring.”
Never mind that it is technically already spring. Fans are asked to hold onto their tickets until details of the make-up date are announced.
On the “Rock and Roll Never Forgets” tour, the 67-year-old rocker had previously postponed his March 19 Calgary show due to illness. He will return to play the Saddledome on March 25, but unfortunately there isn’t room in the immediate schedule to accommodate Edmonton.
