Taylor Swift in Edmonton summer of 2015

Players, it has been said, are going to play. That’s why they call them players. Same with haters, heart-breakers and fakers.
The musical question now is what you call those who “shake it off” – shakers or shaker-offers? Ponder as excitement builds for Taylor Swift’s return to Edmonton. She plays Aug. 4-5, 2015 at Rexall Place, on tour behind her latest album, 1989 – the year of her birth – and which marks the point where all vestiges of a prior “country” career are gone. She has ascended to the status of pop diva, role model to millions of young, female fans, country or not, who hang on her every word. And she’s only 24 years old. It’s a positive step she’s matured from revenge-upon-boyfriend songs – from Picture to Burn to I Knew You Were Trouble to We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – to self-empowering mantras like Shake It Off. Good advice for kids of all ages!
Tickets for all the North American dates, with Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes opening, will be going on sale Friday, Nov. 14.
