Corey Hart returns to Edmonton on arena tour

The time is ripe for a Corey Hart comeback.
Enough time has passed, there’s been enough water under the burned bridge, the generational cycle has ticked over, and the man who wore his sunglasses at night has been out of the spotlight long enough that his fans truly miss him. Corey Hart! Man, that takes us back.
The Never Surrender Tour will take the Canadian star to arenas across Canada next summer. Hart will play Rogers Place on Friday, June 21. Tickets will go on sale Dec. 7. The pre-sale starts Dec. 4. The tour announcement comes ahead the release of a brand new album, his first in 20 years: Dreaming Time Again, out May 3, 2019. Each ticket purchased comes with a free digital copy of the new album. A lot of artists are doing this these days. It’s like an old wise man once said (Bryan Adams-Michael Buble manager Bruce Allen, in fact): the album should be your “promissory note” that you will deliver a great live concert.
Hart’s got a new Christmas track, too, called Another December.
This adds to a remarkable legacy of hits that dominated the 1980s: You couldn’t turn on the radio without hearing Never Surrender or Sunglasses at Night, among others. After the rush of success that made him rich, Hart went into seclusion for a while there, to spend time with wife and family, and basically took the entire 2000s off. If only we could’ve all been so lucky.
