Michelle Obama brings book tour to Edmonton

The most beloved First Lady of her generation will be including Edmonton on the final leg of her book tour.
Michelle Obama, whose new book Becoming is flying off the shelves around the world, sill host “Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama” on Friday, March 22, at Rogers Place.
Tickets to the general public go on sale Dec. 15 at 10 am. For an evening expected to sell out, there are anti-scalping measures in place, including the “Verified Fan” pre-sale program where you have to register before being allowed to buy a ticket one full day before the official on-sale date.
Tickets will be $29.50 to $199.50. A portions of proceeds will be donated to area charities.
The extended speaking tour sees Crown Publishing and Live Nation in cahoots, and has Mrs. Obama hit 21 cities across North America and Europe. The show will be in a Q&A format, with the moderator to be announced. No word on if or how audience member questions will be handled. The press release promises “honest reflections on the experiences and events, both public and private, that have shaped her, from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work, to her years spent at the most famous address in the world.”
Becoming is No. 1 in 11 countries around the world, and one of the most successful First Lady memoirs of all time.
