Hear electro-pop artist’s new Japan-inspired single before official release
Talltale – the stage name of Edmonton pop-electronic artist Tatiana Zagorac, because she is tall – was so inspired by her trip to Japan that she made a whole album out of it: Japanese Fever Dream, being released worldwide Friday, March 29.
The single Shed My Skin speaks to the benefits of travel, she says: “It’s a song about how you feel when you’re outside your comfort zone – and you grow as a person at an accelerated rate. Traveling is good for that. I was inspired by being in Japan. I wasn’t distracted by other people’s conversations and the people around me. I spent a lot of time in my own head and thought about the things I liked in myself, and things I don’t like. It’s like shedding your skin.”
After some production work in Toronto, Talltale will be back in Edmonton to play the Capital City Records launch party for the Edmonton Public Library at the Backstage Theatre on April 13 – where you will surely hear Shed My Skin and more.
