Fleetwood Mac postpones again

Nearly a year after it was first announced, the Fleetwood Mac show in Edmonton this weekend has been postponed – again.

Stevie Nicks is still recovering from the flu, a press release reads, so the Saturday, April 13 show in Rogers Place has been cancelled, along with five other dates, which will now moved to October or November. Refunds will be offered at the point of purchase; or tickets will still be good for the new shows.

This date was itself a rescheduled concert, moved from Nov. 10, 2018, which was canceled just hours before show time due to an illness suffered by an unspecified band member – which turned out to be Stevie Nicks.

This time, Mick Fleetwood issued a statement: “We are having more fun than ever on this current tour, but as we all know, touring life comes with its challenges. The flu has sidelined Stevie for a couple of weeks but she is on the mend and we look forward to getting back out on the road. We so apologize to the fans, but we are working on rescheduling.”

Local fans had been looking forward to the new line-up, which includes Neil Finn of Crowded House (Lindsey Buckingham is sitting out this tour); and the band had been earning rave reviews for shows earlier this year.
